Project Highlights

Commerce City Grant Review Team: For several years, the City of Commerce City enjoyed receipt of grant monies for parks and trails improvements. More recently, due to miscommunication and lack of follow through, the city was regarded as difficult to work with.

Through a series of strategic planning sessions, Elizabeth facilitated group discussion — with both city staff and grant providers — that eventually lead to the development of a new grant review team and process for managing grant applications and implementing grant funds.

Establishment of a Five-Year Strategic Plan: Denver Health’s School Based Health Clinics (SBHC) has been providing health care services to 12 Denver public schools. A change in management necessitated revisiting the organization’s goals and long-term vision.

Elizabeth developed and facilitated a staff retreat that included structured discussions for strategic planning and goal development, resulting in a five-year action plan and performance measurement process.

Commerce City Marketing & Public Relations Division (MPRD): Commerce City established a new division for developing and implementing a re-branding effort. Initial results were successful. However, the day to day responsibilities of providing marketing and public relations support to other departments became overwhelming and difficult to manage, negatively impacting MPRD’s reputation among its internal customers.

Elizabeth developed and facilitated daylong retreat discussions and activities that lead to clarification of team member roles and responsibilities. The net result yielded a realignment of priorities and processes that improved the division’s overall efficiency and on-time delivery of products and services.
